Louisa Chafee '14 is Heading to the 2016 Olympic Games!

 

Former three time All-American Crew, Louisa Chafee '14 has qualified to represent the United States in the 2016 Summer Olympic games in Rio as part of the Nacra 17 Class! She becomes the first Brown sailor to compete in the Olympics since 2004!

The Brown University community is proud of Louisa and all of our Olympic campaigners who competed in the most recent trials. Judge Ryan '14 finished runner-up in a hard fought final race on Sunday's U.S. Men's 49er Class. He was the top American at the World Championship this week in Clearwater, FL. Fred Strammer '11, three-time All-American Skipper finished 5th in the U.S. Men's 49er selection. Three-time Women's All-American Skipper's Emily Dellenbaugh '12 and Elizabeth Barry '11 also placed 2nd in the U.S. Women's 49erFX Class.
