Bears Win the New England Dinghy Championship, 6 Sailors Earn All-New England Honors
The coed team won the New England Dinghy Championship for the Coast Guard Alumni Bowl for the second time in the last three years (2013, 2015), hosted by Salve Regina University in Newport, RI, May 2-3, 2015. It was a hard fought battle for the Bears, who stayed close to first overall throughout the entire 30 race event (15 races in each division). In the later races on Sundaythe breeze came up and Brown dominated, winning the event in the last race over Coast Guard and Yale. The coed team will join the #2 ranked women's team at Nationals, with the Gill Dinghy Semi-Finals taking place June 1-2 in Newport, RI, and the Finals June 3-4.  All of the 2015 College Sailing Spring Nationals will be hosted by Brown, Salve Regina, and the New York Yacht Club. 

The #2 nationally ranked women's team finished 4th out of 16 teams at the New England Women's Championship for the Reed Trophy, hosted by Boston College, April 25-26. The top 8 teams qualified for the Sperry Women's National Semi-Finals, May 25-26, in Newport, RI.  The Women's Finals take place May 27-28.

2015 Brown Sailing Alumni/Parent Regatta

Brown Sailing's Annual Alumni/Parent Regatta will be held on Saturday, May 16 at the Edgewood Yacht Club in our new fleet of 18 Z420s. Report time is 12pm and racing is scheduled to begin around 1pm. Awards and a cookout will take place after sailing at the Edgewood Yacht Club. We encourage all alumni and parents of the current team to attend and sail the new boats before they head to Newport, RI for the 2015 College Sailing Spring Nationals, hosted by Brown, Salve Regina, and the New York Yacht Club.
